What is APMC License?

An Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) is a marketing board established by state governments in India to ensure farmers are safeguarded from exploitation by large retailers, as well as ensuring the farm to retail price spread does not reach excessively high levels. APMCs are regulated by states through their adoption of an Agriculture Produce Marketing Regulation (APMR) Act. Until 2020, the first sale of agricultural produce could occur only at the market yards (mandis) of APMCs. However, after 2020 with the passing of the Farmers� Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, which allowed farmers to sell outside APMC mandis as well as across different states of India.

  • Form 1 A in prescribed format
  • List of APMC in which trader desires to operate (Prescribed Format)
  • Bank Guarantee of Rs. 5/- lakh (Prescribed Format).
  • Solvency Certificate (Prescribed Format).
  • Declaration (on stamp paper of Rs.200/-) with notarization & two witnesses (Prescribed Format).
  • For Trader Company (Constitution, Registration Certificate, List of Directors with address, PAN Card Xerox, Resolution regarding signing authority).
  • For Proprietor (PAN Card Xerox, ADHAR Card, M.S.E.B. Bill, Election Card, Character Certificate)
